Why Condiments Should Be Store Bought?
Somehow, we’ve been led to believe that all condiments and seasonings must come from a store. If you want to add ketchup or mayonnaise to a dish, you always think of store-bought items. But most of them contain additives that aren’t good for you—especially if you have allergies or other health issues and need to avoid certain ingredients.

Recently, I started making my own hummus, mayonnaise, and pizza sauce. Last week, I tried making a sesame dressing, which I really liked—it turned out great! Besides tasting amazing, it’s satisfying to know you’re using high-quality ingredients. It takes just a few minutes to make, but the benefits are well worth it.
My Go-To Mayonnaise Recipe:
- Avocado oil: ½ cup
- Fresh egg (washed with dish soap)
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Brown sugar or honey: 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Mustard: 1 teaspoon
Blend all ingredients until the mixture has a thick texture. You can add your favorite herbs or spices—for instance, I added garlic and black pepper last time, and I loved it!
