Learn how small habits, slow living, and mindful routines help me stay grounded, reduce stress, and enjoy the beauty of ordinary days.

Simple Habits That Reduce Stress

There are some things in my daily routine that I need in order to reduce my stress. There are a few small habits I try to build into my life that give me peace and a sense of happiness.
These things aren’t big or complicated—they’re quite simple. But they’re very important to me, and I feel so much better physically and emotionally when I do them regularly.

Nowadays, people often look for something exciting and new. But I feel my best when I follow my everyday rhythm.

A friend once asked me, “How was your weekend? Did you do anything special?” I told her I had spent a couple of quiet days—nothing big—just doing a few things at home and relaxing the rest of the time. She mentioned that she noticed I often don’t do much on weekends or vacations. I replied, “Yes, that’s what I find is best for me—that’s why I always choose it.” That conversation made me realize that this is truly what I enjoy, and I intentionally CHOOSE not to fill my schedule with too many things. I prefer peace and quiet at home. And I know not everyone is the same, but this is what works best for me!

Peaceful Home

I’ve realized that it’s not a long or expensive vacation that helps me manage stress, but the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in my home with my family, which I try to create and maintain. I don’t have to wait months for a day when I can finally relax. I know that I can come home in the evening to restore my energy, or spend the weekend the way I like best—doing some cooking, a little cleaning, and a walk to a nearby store or farmers market to buy fresh vegetables.

Beautiful And Comfortable Clothes

Another thing I find helpful is wearing comfortable clothes, and I try to avoid overly trendy outfits. I like dresses with timeless designs. They make me feel feminine and capable in my homemaking. I feel that it empowers me as a woman and a wife. I really enjoy that feeling, and wearing a comfortable, beautiful dress is such an easy and impactful way to fill my home and my life with a cozy, warm atmosphere.

Sunshine And Fresh Air

Something else that helps me relax is spending time outside in the sun and fresh air. I try to do it as often as I can. At work, I spend my breaks outdoors—about 45 minutes every day, in almost any weather. Only heavy rain keeps me inside. I also spend a couple of hours outside daily because I work with children, and part of my job is supervising them when they play outdoors. I love doing it, and it benefits everyone.
